The pressure was on at our new venue in Victoria recently when the Hotel Booking Agents Association (HBAA) chose it to host their 'Webinar' on the Bribery Act.
A room full of booking agents, event specialists and other venues in only the venue's second week of operation (not to mention a further audience watching online) certainly concentrated the minds of the venue team. The event went well and the technology worked perfectly. Here's what Peter Ducker - the Executive Director of the HBAA said about it:-
When we were planning a seminar on the new Bribery Act we thought "where better than a stones throw from the Houses of Parliament?". One Drummond Gate was a superb choice. Great facilities, and what a bonus to have a garden that delegates could take their coffees or lunches out to on a beautiful summers day. The lunch buffet was interesting, different and delicious, light and just right for modern times.
As a national organisation we wanted to make this event available to all our members, even though we knew the challenges of bringing them, and their legal advisers into London for a short meeting our solution was a "hybrid meeting" - combining a conventional format with a web cast. The technical capabilities of this purpose designed venue made that easy and we ended up with a live audience of around 50 and a cyber audience of over 100, spread from Bristol to Amsterdam.
