Sauteed Wild Mushrooms on Sour Dough Toast

What to do with a whole basket of Wild Mushrooms???


Serves 2

400g Wild Mushrooms

Knob of Butter

Glug of Olive Oil

4 Slices of Sour Dough


  • Heat the butter and oil in a frying pan on a medium heat and when heated add the mushrooms.
  • In the mean time rub your sour dough slices with some olive oil, (if you don’t have a brush use your fingers). Then either toast or griddle. The bread looks better if you can griddle but grilling works just as well.
  • Gently fry the mushrooms for around 10-15 minutes.
  • When ready season with salt & pepper and place on top of the grilled sour dough.
