English Cherries have now come to an end! English Victoria Plums are early this year! Damsons are fully available along with Kentish Cobnuts! There are also a bit of early English Greengage but the French seem to be better quality for now!

Now started New Season Jackets!

All main Brassicas remain good including Hispi, Green and Savoy. Broccoli has increased in value recently and Cauliflowers remain good. English Courgettes are still abundant. English Marrows avail-able. Jersey Royals still around but will start to taper off!

English Peas, Broad Beans and Runners continue to be sweet and beautiful flavour.

English Salads are in full production, including Iceberg, Cos, Gem, Lolla Rossa, Lolla Biando and Oakleaf. English Spring Onions.

Nutbournes English Heritage Tomatoes are really amazing this year and becoming very popular!

Excellent British Raspberries, Blackberries and Blueberries. Gooseberries are still abundant. Strawberries are getting better now.

English Watercress now in stock!

There is outdoor English Rhubarb. Good Candied and Golden Beet-root! English Parsnips have now finished and we have moved onto Spanish. Swede, Turnips and Potatoes including Pink Fir are still English. New Season Mids remain good!



No major changes in the foreign produce!

Greengages remain good this week! There is some Purple and Yellow Cauliflowers. Excellent Courgette en Fleur, Wet Garlic and Red Spring Onions, Bunch Grelot Onions, Fresh Nettles! White Asparagus is in season on the continent. Rainbow Chard, Yellow and Green Round Courgettes. Black Radish and Cheltenham Beetroot, which is the elongated variety. Okra, Baby Aubergines and Long Red Peppers remain good.


Dutch Peppers, Cucumbers, Tomatoes and Aubergines. Belgium Leeks.

Excellent Sweet Potato and Butternut Squash from Honduras! Also great Asparagus from the USA.

All Beans are coming from Kenya, Fine Beans, Sugar Snap and Mange Tout.



Flat Peaches, Peaches, Nectarines and Apricots all now readily available and getting better all the time! Spanish Plums

Oranges from Morocco! Italian Black and White Grape! South Afri-can Satsumas and Pears. Cherries are now from USA or Canada and very expensive!

Spanish Galia, Canteloupes, Watermelon and Honeydew. All Apples are now coming from South America and New Zealand. Excellent Piel De Sapo melons on the Market, they are better quality than Honeydew at present! Dutch Redcurrants.

Mango’s and Paw Paw are from Brazil, very good Indian Pomegranates. Brazilian Figs.

Mushroom Update — All Wild Mushrooms are available except for Morelles! This includes

Girolles, Pied De Mouton, Trompette, Chanterelle, Cepes and Pied Blue.
