The Post Office

Event Type

Directorate Away Day followed by Christmas drinks reception

Event Objectives

A combination of outcomes were hoped for from this important end of year Directorate update:-

  • The communication of company performance and information update from different parts of the business.
  • Team building
  • A social element to celebrate Christmas and relax at the end of the year.

Venue used and reason for choosing it

Bonhill House - a venue well known to the client - chosen because of previous good experiences there and also because of the convenient location.

How did the venue help towards the success of this event

The new Rose floor at Bonhill House was suggested by the event team. The different areas in this self-contained floor catered for the various stages of the day without the need for moving around or splitting up the attendees. The event team were happy to get involved in the planning of the event from the outset - making suggestions and helping to tailor the event so that it was exactly what the client was looking for.The Client and event team worked together on team building activities, room layouts, catering formats and options -  resulting in a bespoke and tailored day that met the Client's objectives.

Client comment

"I have used Bonhill House on a number of occasions and it's an excellent venue that always delivers high quality events. The team go out of their way to help tailor the facilities to meet our objectives - so much so that the venue and staff feel like an extension of the team and not just an external supplier. The end of year Directorate update needed to incorporate several different elements. The Rose Floor delivered this perfectly - firstly some serious business content well presented in a professional training room environment. Then great team building that really brought the group together. This was followed by a drinks reception at the end of the day where the team could relax, network and celebrate their successes. All this was achieved on a floor that felt very private and kept everyone together and focussed".
