Avonmouth House has been awarded a gold medal in recognition of its efforts in putting the environment at the heart of day-to-day operations.
This is a great follow-up to the National Recycling Award that the etc.venues group won in late 2007 and excellent recognition of how important environmental issues have been to the company since it started 17 years ago.

The judges from Southwark Council were impressed with Avonmouth House's commitment to recycling, waste reduction and staff training as well as other environmental strategies such as a 'Green Travel Plan', 'Green Venue Champion' scheme and cooking oil and furniture recycling initiatives.
The Environmental Business Awards are part of Southwark Council's drive to reduce borough-wide carbon emissions by 8.5% by 2011.
